Anthony J. Washington, Jr.’s career in track and field is diverse in accomplishments and experiences. During his high school career at Oak Crest in Mays Landing, New Jersey, Anthony was the former All-Conference Champion for Intermediate Hurdles and 4x400 relay in 1988. His success at the high school level caused him to be recruited by Central Arizona College in 1990.  There he earned his varsity as a freshman and won several individual and team gold medals.

After his collegiate career, Anthony joined Shore AC Track Club in New Jersey, where former 1956 Olympian, Elliot Denman, is the presiding chairman. As a member, he competed in several Olympic development meets including the Penn Relays, and functioned as an assistant coach at the 1999 USA National Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon.

Anthony has studied as an apprentice under the leadership of Phillip Clark, developer and author of Phillip Clark Muscle Systems. His apprenticeship included testing elite sprinting and conditioning systems which were eventually implemented into his speed training program.

In 2005, Anthony was one of one hundred trainers that were recruited nationwide and certified by SPARQ Trainers Network. This allowed him to administer SPARQ Ratings in high schools throughout the southeastern region. He has been invited to represent SPARQ at South Carolina’s statewide Coaches Association meetings to explain and demonstrate speed and agility through SPARQ training.  Many of these experiences inspired Anthony to begin a training business that would aide clients to realize their collegiate and professional goals. All For 1 Fitness attends to those needs. “Bringing athletes into top level of performance” describes the mission and goal of AF1F. Recently, under Anthony’s leadership, AF1F has trained football athletes to enhance their game and performance.  Those athletes include:

- Tyler Thigpin (QB, Minnesota Vikings)
- Quentin Teal (FS, Carolina Panthers)
- Roscoe Crosby (WR, Indianapolis Colts)
- Reggie Merriweather (RB, San Diego Chargers)
- Lance Lawery (LB, Seattle Sea Hawks)
- Shawn King (QB, Arizona Cardinals)
- Duane Coleman (DB, Buffalo Bills)
- Drakkar Hamilton (FS, Dallas Cowboys)

Currently, Anthony serves as Men’s and Women’s Chairperson for South Carolina’s USATF Association, assistant volunteer track and field coach at South Carolina State University. He is the Director of Sports at Velocity Sports in Greenville, South Carolina and an independent performance trainer. He resides in Columbia, South Carolina with his wife and three children.
